First of all, I realised that I havn't integrated my texture into our library very well. So I experimented and started putting my texture on different surfaces. Giving it variations of repeats per face to see what kind of effects would be produced. Frankly I actually like the texture that was made on the bench surface, so I tried on a much larger surface\
.
Here we can see team member 'Sang's trial to incorporate his texture into a object.
By my efforts I must have somehow influenced team member 'Sang' to do the same with his texture but on the ceiling. Again another stunning outcome.
Now i began thinking again, and I also realised that I havn't integrated much of my journals aspects into this design. The one journal that was actually useful (HOUSES (AUST)) had an article about this architect who designed a house using lightweight elements. He presented a rustic yet modern style of house. So using his ideas i tried incorporating aspects into my design.
Sang also influenced by his journals ideas tried to change things around on the second wall.
And after a long time of construction he managed to reach his final solution. Its a very well thought out change i believe.
As for me i was again influenced by the architect David Boyle, on his opinion that the experience of a spacial enviroment is important. So i decied to lift some parts of the ceiling so that it made some sort of an atrium.
A low angle shot of this area may show you how much spacious this enviroment has become. It lets in more light during the daytime and makes the enviroment more open and refreshing.
On the other side of building another raising has been made to the roof. Again to open up the interior space to give a more pleasant experience.
I noticed that our library's first floor gave a very olden day feel, and this wasn't really our intention to portray one. Then i realised that the book shelves presently in our library was the reason.
Thus i made some new shelves in a Folding manner; since we are already using a folding sort of style. The use if vibrant colors gave effective contrast and lifted the mood and experience of the library.
A screen shot of the bigger shelves made to hold books. Using various color tones to get the eyes moving.
A wall shelf, made by me. It was actually an accident how it came about. When i was moving around the book shelf I unintentionally pushed it into the wall and it gave this kind of effect.
Here is a good screen shot of Sangs new improvement from the inside of the building. Very cool.
Here you can see a piece of new furniture. It replaced a coffee table that did not fit into the new environment.
Just an aerial view of the library after the construction repairs.
A perspective of the new side of the building.
And this last screen shot is what a receptionist would see if they were to be seated in our library. Quite a nice view of the first floor.
Thus with this last picture, i believe that the library has been completed!!!!
